![]() ![]() ![]() Notify the appropriate city staff regarding facility maintenance and repair needs.May be required to monitor loading dock use during load-in and load-out times and ensure that users are trained in loading safety procedures. ![]() Assist other departments and performance groups with setup, strike and restore of all furniture and show equipment including set, props, rigging, projections, and audio.May also include set up and running of other theatrical equipment, when required.Ensure that all lighting equipment is setup according to the Lighting Designer’s/ client’s vision and maintained throughout the run of a given production, presentation, event or rental.Ensure that all lighting equipment is setup in a safe manner and adheres to professional standards.Program and create lighting looks for events.During load-ins/setups, technical rehearsals, performances, load-outs and maintenance, the lighting technician may be required to: move, re-focus, re-patch and otherwise operate theatrical lighting instruments, practicals and electrical equipment on or about the stage as required for event or production.Hang and focus of light plots as needed.Serve as theatrical electrician and light board operator for assigned events.Provide exceptional customer service and information for clients and other stakeholders about the BCA spaces.The Center for the Arts Technician will work cooperatively and cross departmentally with the other crew members, as well as a variety of clients to ensure the successful execution of assigned performances and events in all Center for the Arts Spaces and ensure safe use of all technical equipment. Under the supervision of the Center for the Arts Manager, this position is charged with operation of and familiarity with all house theatrical systems, especially lighting/electrics, but also including video, carpentry and audio as well as the upkeep and maintenance of in-house systems. ![]()
